Lieksan Copper Week: Helsinki Police Band: Hunters of the Lost Treasure 29.7.

The Helsinki Police Band will be visiting Lieksa Copper Festival under the direction of a top international conductor. American Michael J. Colburn, the conductor of "The President's Own" U.S. Marine Band during the Obama era, will bring to the stage two composers who are particularly close to him. The legendary John Williams is his long-time friend and collaborator, while John Philip Sousa is a master, and Colburn is known internationally as a respected specialist in his music.

The program will feature John Williams' familiar, iconic film music gems and Sousa's sparkling marches, which charmed audiences as early as the late 19th century.
