Smoke Sauna Evening by a Wilderness Lake

Arrival in Saunamaa at 2 PM. We start the afternoon with welcome coffee or tea and berry pie, while sharing stories about the region's history and Finnish sauna culture.

The saunas are at your disposal from 3:00 PM onwards at your own pace. In Saunamaa, you can experience various sauna traditions and atmospheres:

• Tranquility in the Musta Kyly smoke sauna
• Traditional sauna bathing in the Muasaana
• Gentle steam in Hemmosauna's lounging chairs
• Enjoyment on the raft sauna in a beautiful lake landscape
• Humid steam in the dimness of the Kotasauna

In addition to the smoke sauna, at least two other saunas are always heated, and more for larger groups depending on the number of participants. Refreshing Kotakylä drink or Villi Vissy is available as a sauna beverage. Between steam baths, you can take a dip in the clean waters of Lake Vaiikko or relax on beach chairs amidst the sounds of nature. During your sauna visit, you can paddleboard, canoe, or row on the lake with the equipment provided by Saunamaailma, which can be found on site. 

At 6 PM, we move to the Sunset Kota, where a warm fish soup made from potatoes and carrots from our own field, North Karelian bread and cheese are served. Spring water and berry juice are served as meal beverages. For dessert, Kotakylä cookies and chaga tea or coffee. The sauna evening ends at 8 PM.

• Lactose-free meals as per product description (special diets unfortunately cannot be accommodated)

Suitable for adults and families with children. Most activities take place outdoors, so remember to bring weather-appropriate clothing and swimwear. The area is not accessible, and children are always the responsibility of their guardians.
