Monola Festival Week Closing Concert on July 4th
The Monola Festival Week culminates in a festive closing concert in the idyllic courtyard of Monola Granary. In conjunction with the concert, the opening ceremony of Monola's service building will also be held.
The concert features Mixed Choir Cantio Laudis, representing Oulu, the European Capital of Culture, and one of Finland's most esteemed mixed choirs, led by Olli Heikkilä. Also performing are Jussi Makkonen, cello, and Nazig Azezian, piano.
Julia Donner, director of the Ainola Museum, extends greetings to the event.
The closing concert brings together the key themes of the festival week: community, generational encounters, and living Finnish musical heritage.

The concert venue is the courtyard of Monola Granary, address Monolanniementie, 81700 Lieksa (follow signs from Vartialantie). Please dress according to the weather.
