Koli Through the Ages Part 2

The second part of Koli's village history, Stories from Koli - Koli Through the Ages 2, complements the themes of the previously published Koli village history and serves as an independent work for those interested in the phases of the tourist village.

The book's articles cover agriculture, schools, and personal profiles of residents. The history of North Karelia's oldest tourist destination is told through the phases of Pielinen's boat traffic, the travel association, and the tourist hotel, as well as unrealized tourism plans. The work also sheds light on Koli's strong storytelling tradition.

The articles are complemented by rich illustrations collected from various archives and private individuals.

The work was completed in cooperation between Lieksa Adult Education Centre and Koli Local Heritage Association ry.
