Mill's Story

Venejoki Mill's Story begins with the famine years of the 19th century, traveling through the golden age of milling operations towards modern times. At the mill, traditions, craftsmanship, and skills have carried residents and workers of different eras through even challenging times. 

During the Mill's Story experience, coffee is enjoyed in the cozy atmosphere of the watermill, listening to stories about the life of the mill and village at different times. At a long table, North Karelian local delicacies are enjoyed alongside coffee.
