Tarina-Aho Smoke Sauna Evening – an experience for all your senses

Your journey to Tarina-Aho's traditional smoke sauna begins from Koli Harbor. The cruise glides over the waves of Lake Pielinen, taking you towards deep relaxation even before the sauna. During the trip, you can enjoy stunning lake views, admire Koli's national landscape from the water, feel the wind in your hair, and leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind.

Upon arrival, a traditional log smoke sauna awaits you, carefully heated with alder wood. This ensures the steam remains soft yet enjoyable throughout the evening. The subtle scent of smoke fills the air, and upon entering the warm sauna, you immediately feel its calming effect.

As you throw water onto the hot stones, the heat spreads evenly over your body, muscles relax, and your mind calms. This is sauna bathing in its purest form – without electric heaters or rush, just you, the sauna, and the wisdom of tradition.

During the smoke sauna evening, Tarina-Aho's Bistro serves from 18:30 to 21:00. Non-alcoholic refreshments are available for purchase on the island as sauna drinks, but the island does not have alcohol serving rights.

Date and Location

• Departure at 17:00 from Koli Harbor, address Rantatie 12, 83960 KOLI
• Return around 21:00 - 22:00, when everyone has had their sauna and eaten
• Bookings must be made at least 1 day before the event, but you can inquire about last-minute spots on the same day via WhatsApp 045 353 1523.
• The minimum number of participants for the smoke sauna evening is 4 people. Should this not be met, we will contact those who have booked tickets.

The price includes an approximately 15-minute boat transfer from Koli Harbor to Tarina-Aho on Kelvänsaari, as well as the smoke sauna and return transfer to the harbor.

Please bring your own sauna and swimming gear.
